North Parramatta local, Anthony Ellard, has been endorsed as the Labor candidate for Dundas Ward in the upcoming local elections. Mr Ellard will replace Lord Mayor Pierre Esber who retires after 25 years on council.

Clr Esber has served on the City of Parramatta since 1999 as a Lachlan Macquarie Ward Councillor and then Dundas Ward Councillor following the boundary changes. He has endorsed Anthony Ellard as his successor.

“Anthony brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to community service to the City of Parramatta. He has lived in the city for 25 years and is raising a young family. Anthony is deeply rooted in the local community and dedicated to delivering positive changes for its residents.” he said.

“He is active in the community. He has held positions on the St Mary's Rydalmere P&F and is a member of Lions. He is a Life Member and former President of the Parramatta Rugby League Referees Association and now coaches the Parramatta City Titans Under 14’s Girls team.“

Mr Ellard’s campaign will be a plan for community improvement focusing on preserving the character of neighborhoods, enhancing parks, playgrounds, and sporting fields, developing a smart city and responsible governance in council.

“I am honoured to have been endorsed as Labor’s candidate for Dundas Ward. Clr Esber has left very big shoes to fill. My commitment to our community is unwavering, and I am eager to work towards creating a better future for all residents of Dundas Ward,” said Anthony Ellard.
